Price trend: raw material price change’s impact on the chemical packaging industry

Wood pulp prices kept soaring. Prices of waste paper hit a five-year high after the import restriction. As the environmental policy’s getting stricter, backward capacities are phased out. Strong demand pushed up paper prices again and again. Other price driven factors include the ban on Di Tiao steel (poor-quality steel retrieved from scrap steel through melting in induction furnace that cannot have effective composition and quality control), environmental performance supervision and air pollution prevention and control action plan for “2+26” cities.
