China’s refined oil products market has been strong since May. Demand from end users was normal. Prices of imported BTX aromatics rose before declining because importers’ inventory pressure increased and downstream users were reluctant to buy at high prices. The imported BTX aromatics market has been in consolidation.

As China determined to promote the country’s oil quality upgrading, standards for gasoline and diesel oil have been quickly improved. Reforms on consumption tax and VAT further standardizes the circulation of negotiable instruments. The gasoline and diesel blending market has experienced a reshuffle.

Local refineries in China were firstly granted the right to import crude oil, the right to use imported crude oil and the refined product export quota. Traditional teapot refineries will meet their key opportunities of development.
