2016 11th International Methanol Conference

Time:2016-07-13 -07-14location:shanghai shanghaishi

MeOH Week 2016——11th International Methanol Conference is going to be held by Enmore during July 13th -14th in Shanghai, China. 2016 is the key to methanol industry. With the beginning of “13th Five-Year plan”, how will China methanol and downstream market adjust accordingly? How Iran and NA compete in global methanol supply market and how supply-demand pattern changes? How ME (Besides Iran) seize the original market share? How will be demand of NEA? Why there is the rumor of discount in SEA? Where is the demand of India? After the unveiling of pure methanol vehicles in Iceland, how much new demand will be brought by emerging application? Enmore MeOH Week 2016 will provide you with a profound idea of china market and will help you figure out the picture of the global market. Now in its 11th year, MeOH Week is the ONLY and must attend event in NEA for the international methanol community. Recognized as the best forum for in-depth analysis of the global methanol and derivatives industry, it is the annual meeting place where fresh ideas, lots of business and new contacts are made. There is no doubt that Enmore MeOH Week 2016 will be the industry highlights for the year.

Why attend?

Focus on Global Methanol Market

Stepping into its 11th year, MeOH Week knows more and better about methanol, we always dedicate to unite all the global

active methanol players and make the information go faster.

Strong China Background

China has been major consuming focus for methanol market. In 2016, it seems that china can supply itself, however, with the operation of MTO projects in 2016, the gap for importing is open wide again. and Chinese buyers are now looking for the chances outside of China

Event Highlights

Global supply pattern

* Global energy outlook and implication on the methanol

*American methanol projects ——turn net importer to net exporter

*Iran strategy for methanol —— new capacity release

*Chinese Economy development & Methanol market

Analysis on downstream market & logistics

* China MTO projects —— will crude plunge derail China’s MTO boom?

* Traditional downstream market

*Global impact by 2020——Methanol as a marine fuel

* Methanol Shipping - Important Factor as a Facilitator or Constraint in Global and Domestic Trade

2016——vital year for global methanol industry

China——imported methanol rebounds!

will crude plunge derail China’s MTO boom?

Most of China MTO projects will be completed and operated in 2016, many key factors like methanol consumption and MTO profit margin will also have clear performance in this year. China now has around 12 MTO Projects, 6 of them were under constructed till September 2015 with methanol consumption of more than 7 million tons, and the rest of them with estimated methanol consumption of 9 million tons will be started in Q3 2016. There are 10 more projects are processed. According to IHS,till 2019 the methanol consumption of MTO will reach 20%.

In 2015, the methanol imported to China was 5.5 million tons, increased 26.4% y-o-y, and will reach 25 million tons till 2023, IHS says.

North America——Methanol is rising

The price of NA natural gas keeps dipping with the catalyst of shale gas, which boosts the rising of methanol projects in US market. Two mega tons projects of Methanex and Celanese are under commercial production. It is estimated that the capacity will be 18 million tons/ year in 2020, helping USA become the second biggest methanol producer after China.

Iran——The Lord of methanol returns!

With the ease of the ban on Iran, the Iran suppliers will relay-out their international market in 2016, which results in the soaring of world methanol trade volume, and more fluctuant price. The present methanol capacity of Iran is 5 million tons, and will increase to 8-10 million in the near future.
